Hi!! Welcome to the Project Inspired Blog Circle! So glad you were sent here!
I’m Erica. I live in PA. I’m a 30 something Mama of two young boys, Andrew and Thomas. I’m a wife to Andrew. I love chocolate and coffee. I didn’t love coffee until I met Andrew… my son. I started to love coffee even more when I met Thomas.
I also love photography, hence why you were directed here. I know it’s cliche on a photography blog and the “about me post” to say I’ve always loved taking pictures, but really I have. I didn’t get into the technical side of photography until a few years ago. Before that I was more of a take a crappy snapshot and hope it turns out kind of gal.
But here I am now. About to launch emails, facebook, and a blogsite in order to portfolio build and see if a “photography career” is something I’d like to do.
So here’s me:
But more importantly here’s my top 10 favorite pictures I’ve taken in the last year and why. This will probably give you some insight into who I am.
This is my first born. His smile lights up my day. His need for leadership and independence makes my day spin.
This is Elizabeth and Brody. One of my best friends. The person in this world who knows me as well as my husband. This is one of my favorites because as a breastfeeding mom I know the love and connection I had with my sons while we were nursing. Photographing her connection with her son was something I’ll always treasure.
This pretty much sums up my whole heart. Watching my sons interact and play with one another as well as with their Daddy.
Alright, so if you really know me you know I’m a constant joke cracker. So photos like this…. I can’t help but love.
This was taken on the Santa train in Strasburg, Pa. My husband and I decided for me to leave teaching and become a Stay At Home Mom. I’m fortunate enough to see everyday through the eyes of my boys.
Um back to me being a jokester…One of the main reasons photographing my son’s childhood is because in my own childhood I lost my father at an early age. Makes me want to photograph and record every moment.
If his brother’s smile lights up my day, than Thomas’ lights up my night. He’s one going on three.
Watching my children be children and not having a panic attack about it… yup that tops my list.
You may have noticed that most important to me is family.
This post is the first in a series in which I’m participating in a blog circle. So once you finish reading here go see my talented friend at Tara at Wildginger Photography here. And you’ll learn all about her too!
Remember to follow the blog circle all the around!
I just love your boys. They are so stinkin cute.
Thanks Tara! They keep me busy!
Yay for kids being kids! I love seeing how you capture them being themselves!
Thanks so much Jen!
Love your boys. We need to arrange a marriage between Lil’ C and T.
We sure do!!
😆 I love getting to know the jokester side of you! Your boys are adorable!
Thanks Samantha!
What a beautiful family. I love the mess of flour…those are the best captures.
I tried my hardest to not panic! I gated them in the kitchen and let them have it. If my boys are quiet (like they were when I found them) then they are up to no good!
You can really tell your boys’ fun personalities in these 🙂
Thanks Lisa! They both have super big personalities!!
Love! Can’t wait to see how your portfolio will grow!
Aw thanks Carolyn!!
Make me cry. I’m happy to have my family be part of your portfolio building!
I wanted to let you know I had you in there! But I didn’t post it last week!
