I’ve known the Mom and youngest son of this family for a few years now. We both attended a local music class together, as her younger and my older son are about the same age. Her boys are the same ages apart that my two boys are, but a year older than my pair. So she typically can prep me on a future struggle (or triumph?) like potty training two boys. For example her older son skipped training wheels when he hopped on his bike, due to his awesome balance bike. We’re currently in the balance bike phase, so I know soon to be calling her for tips on the training wheel-less bike.
We scheduled our session for a July morning thinking we’d be out before the heat kicked in and be done by 10 am. Well we were done by 10, but we didn’t beat that heat! When I got in my car at the end of the session it read 85*, with humidity it was more like 92*. That’s pretty hot to be looking styling and pretty. But the C family managed to look quite fantastic during their session.
We moved throughout the park to their walking bridges and paths. But at the end of their session Karen asked if they could have some funny, less posed shots. Of course! I’m learning through the portfolio building process that communication on the types of images you would like, is best for both me and you. I’m developing a questionairre to help you and I communicate what type of family session you are looking for. So if you want to add in some “less posed, more lifestyle” type shots by all means let’s do it! These prints and images are hanging on your walls, not mine! Or if you choose to have a combination of mostly posed, but a few lifestyle that’s quite alright we me too! Again, in the end they are ending up in your homes, not mine.
I was glad to see these boys swinging around with their parents and having some fun! Next time I may make her bring that bike without training wheels 😀
